Jean, who lives in Helmsley, is an author of crime thrillers, and as a young woman became a diplomat working in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. She has worked in embassies all over the world including behind the Iron Curtain at the height of the Cold War. During the evening she will give us a fascinating insight in to her diplomatic career and how it inspired her writing.
The evening will be held at the Feathers Hotel in Helmsley, starting at 6.30pm. Tickets are priced at £32.50 each for a 2 course supper with tea/coffee.
