A big THANK YOU must go to all our members and supporters who helped during the recent North Yorkshire Council elections.
8 of our 15 candidates were successfully elected last Thursday:

Many congratulations to them and our commiserations go to those candidates who sadly weren't successful - there were some very close results; namely 7 votes in the Sheriff Hutton & Derwent division and 32 in the Amotherby & Ampleforth division.
All of our candidates worked extremely hard from when they were selected back in January and I know I speak on behalf of them all in thanking you the members for supporting them, whether it was by donating to the Campaign Fund, stuffing envelopes in the office or pounding the streets of Thirsk and Malton day after day. Thank you!
